December 2012 Daybook

Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window...unseasonable warmth contrasts the Christmas lights.

I am thinking...about whether to read, crochet or watch tv while playing on the computer.

I am thankful...we don't go overboard for Christmas.

In the kitchen...a cold oven reflects my decision to not bake Christmas cookies.

I am wearing...pajamas; sweet, comfortable pajamas!

I am creating...a knitted cowl for warmth...I think it is for me...

I am be very busy trying to get rid of anything in my home that hasn't been used in the last year.

I am I am going to find the energy to do the above.

I am reading...David Baldacci's latest novel, The Forgotten.

I am hoping...I can visit my friend Ellen to finish the cowl I am working on. She is my knitting guru!

I am looking forward to...Christmas Eve with my side of the family.

I am trust in the Lord as we go through a storm.

Around the house...a spot is waiting for a Christmas tree that I don't feel like decorating.

I am to get everything done that needs getting done this week.

One of my favorite things...having quiet time (have I posted this before?).

A peek into my day...not today but a good shot of the love of my life! photo (6)

  1. Gail. How she is beautiful. Lovely Lovely smile.
Your list is so realistic it doesnt get any better.
Im trying to make a cowl and keep loosing interest. I might start mitts that have no fingers on four needles. I love the wooden or bamboo.
    Your a blessing.

  2. Just saying Hello Gail, from freezing and possibly snowy(later) England.

  3. What a great post Gail. It was honest and I can relate to more than one thing on your list. TIs the season...and I'm relaxing. I see that I am not the only one taking life one step at a time. Take a pic of your cowl so that we can see it. I'm even interested in the yarn you are using.

  4. Wonderful list. I refuse to let the Christmas season stress me out. I figure if I'm stressed, I've forgotten what it's really about.

  5. I love David Baldacci! I am actually reading one of his books right now but have been slow about it because all of the hustle and bustle lately.

I am also making a Goodwill run later, when new stuff is coming in I always feel the need to purge.

  6. There is an award for you over on my blog :)

  7. What a cute picture!! Love it!

I have the urge to purge, as well. I sent three bags of books to a local bookstore yesterday and I'm hoping to make a dent in our office space this month. I just can hardly stand the clutter in there! grrr.

  8. Quiet time is awesome! My favorite things are hugs.
