"g" as in "gail"

My daughter suggested I write about "gail" so here are a few things about me:

I use a small letter "g" online because I didn't like myself when I was a child (long story). Once I made peace with the little girl who was me, I started "honor" her with a small "g."

Before I had children, I didn't like children.

When I was fifteen, a friend let me drive his Corvette in the high school parking lot. It was the first time I ever drove and it felt gooood! When he would get a new 'vette, he would come by and let me drive it. Only the first one was an automatic...

I have two tattoos. I designed them and an artist made them into art work. My first was done before the tat craze came about.

Except on very rare occasions, I don't cry. I really wish I could.

In my humble opinion, dark chocolate ought to be a food group in and of itself.

I love words and learning in genera.. When someone uses a word I don't recogize, I ask them what it means. I have no false pride when it comes to knowledge.

Enough about me. Tell me something about you. g

  1. I have no tattoos; Chocolate is one of my major food groups; I designed a silver, rain-drop shaped ring in grade school with a "small" letter "g" but it got lost at some point in my life. I wish I still had that ring. I never used to cry but now I am looser with my emotions and manage to cry during the funny and sad scenes of the movies I watch. I love words and thank my Kindle often for the built-in dictionary!
Oh, and my name is Gail

  2. I don't cry a lot either. I dunno if that's a bad thing or not. It seems like a great stress relief . . .

  5. Nice post Gail! I agree, chocolate should definitely have it's own food group.

  7. Love this, gail! We are kindred spirits.

I've always wanted to drop the "e" from my name - just haven't been brave enough.

Before I had kids, I didn't like them either. I always wanted to be a successful business woman and live in a penthouse on Lakeshore Drive in Chicago. When I told my mom I was pregnant with my first child, she burst into tears and said, "You said you'd never do that!" She wasn't tearfully happy, but scared for the unborn child, I think! What did I end up being? A homeschool mom of 4 wonderful kids! I love the Lord's irony!

Love to drive fast...just do it in my mini-van.

No tats and I'm a BIG crier - over anything.

Dark chocolate is a food group, isn't it!! I think about chocolate a lot.

I love learning and have no problem being a little annoying to garner new info from someone. I just love to know!

Your post might have given me just what I need for writing my "I" post today!
