ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Anyone who knows me knows that I think Sunday afternoon naps are delicious. Actually, most naps are delicious; even the, "I'm so sick I don't have a choice but to sleep," naps are delightful.

I don't know why "z" is a symbol for sleeping - maybe it is what people think snoring sounds like? (Yes, I have woken myself up with a little snort of a snore - I admit it. Himself says he doesn't remember the last time he heard me snore - good answer, Himself, good answer.)

Getting back to sleeping, I never anticipated having a chronic condition that would cause me to have constant fatigue. Maybe God's sense of humor gave me a way to be able to nap without having guilt about it? I have tried to fight it but it fights back. If I don't nap when I need to, I wind up flat on my back with pain. Blessedly, my hubby is kind about this. Others, like my children, don't get it unless they are reminded (conditions that are invisible sometimes make people think you exaggerate or fake it).

Anyhoodle, by the grace of God, I am able to cope and I get to nap! ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

The A to Z Challenge has been a hoot. I'm so glad to have had this experience and to have met new people. Maybe I will be more regular in my blogging....let's hope so!

  1. It has been nice to meet you.
My husband makes a zzzzzzzzz sound when he snores. Usually it is when he falls asleep in the chair. It is a different, yet still annoying sound when he's laying down.
    Naps are good.

  3. With my RA I experience fatigue A LOT. Usually I get 8 hours of sleep but sometimes I even need more. My husband is a night owl but me, usually by 9 I am hitting the hay.

  4. Hey G, I wish I could nap like you. I am constantly tired with the same pain, and not being able to sleep well certainly aggravates the aches. Praying I'll have your gift of napping! :)
    Stay healthy k. Hugs

  5. Yay for you, you did it! Congratulations on finishing the A-Z Blogging Challenge. I'm so glad to have been part of the fun! It was a blast, it'd have to be the most blogs I've ever done in one month. Interesting point, about 'z' being the letter we associate with sleep. Now, you know it when I can't stand not knowing stuff like that. I'm going to have to Google it :), as for having a nap when you need it. I know what you mean. As soon as I'm tired, that's it. Last night I went to sleep at 6:00PM - I just could not keep my open for much longer. Chronic Fatigue, FMS, etc. very few understand these type of illnesses. Well, speaking of sleep, not long before it's lights out again for us here. Hope you're having a good week.

  6. Congratulations on finishing :) Napping is the best, though I'm sorry you have an excuse to! I like it when you're getting poorly and you eat a warm meal, nap for an afternoon and wake up healthy again. Those are the coziest! I've woken myself up with a snort before! Actually I often wake myself up with a weird shouting sound. Super embarrassing!
